Tamilnadu SET 2017:

Mother Teresa women’s university, in kodaikanl, Tamil nadu is organizer of this state eligibility test. The exam is offering lectureship or professorship to the eligible candidates in the recognized private colleges, government affiliated colleges/ universities. Over 25 subjects are dealt in the exam and the exam is conducted in 16 selected centers of various parts of Tamil nadu. This exam is popular called as SET, TNSET, TNSLET etc

Eligibility:

Candidates owing master’s degree with 50 -55% of marks or equivalent bachelor degree of 3 years course from the UGC approved institution is eligible. Percentage in marks can be relaxed up to 5% in case of special category (SC/ST/VH/PH).  There is no upper age limit for the aspirants and which are applicable to all categories.

Exam pattern: 

SET 2017 consisted of three papers of those:

Paper I- regarding general knowledge and reasoning skills of candidate. 50 OUT OF 60 objective questions are answerable.  2 marks for each question.

Paper II- 50 compulsory questions from selected subject in objective manner. 2 marks for each question.

Paper III- 75 compulsory questions again from selected subject in objective manner. Each question 2 marks.  No negative marks will be deducted for wrong answers.

Mother Teresa women’s university is in charge of announcing the TNSET and has announced the fore coming date for TNSET 2017. Application would be done online alone. Applying before 2 week for the commencement of exam is must followed by the candidate. All the three papers should be attended by the same day of exam.

Syllabus for the TNSET 2017 is available in ugc.ac.in. Candidates can visit the portal for selection of subject and medium of attending the exam by selecting the link provided. For those post graduate candidate who are not able to pursue their syllabus from the given list or site can make use of UGC.NET/CSIR.NET

Similarly, admit card pr the hall ticket is to be downloaded by the examinees. Date and venue of exam as notified in the hall ticket should be followed by her/him. Examinees should appear in the respective center of examination as mentioned in the admit card and also be present in the examination hall before half an hour of commencement of exam.
