Tamilnadu engineering colleges rank list is currently unavailable now as the anna university still didn’t displayed it for the public, This year pass percentage of nearly 200 engineering colleges are below average hence university made this process pending. AS per the news printed in media the reason behind this would be the pressure from private colleges and higher education department officials.
If we compare B.E, Btech, BArch colleges numbers of various states of India Tamilnadu stands at the top with 550 institutions, even Andhra Pradesh have only 328 institutions.
For engineering colleges approval is given by AICTE and they are getting affiliate from anna university then follow syllabus, rules and regulations of it.
It is found that nearly 50 colleges don’t have assistant professors and staffs as per AICTE regulations, In the south indian AICTE meeting educationist had expressed their concern about lack of infrastructure, lack of qualified lecturers of colleges, syllabus not meeting today standards and decrease in quality of education given by institutions.
When list will be released?
During the students admission university issue all engineering colleges rank list since few years students identified the best colleges for joining various courses with the help of it, this year also students expected the anna university engineering colleges ranking list 2016 but the officials kept the process in pending.
Technical education sources are saying that there is no chances for announcing the list this year as still it didn’t get approval from higher education department.
But the parents and students are demanding the university to publish the rank list without fail, they said they are paying lakhs of money for getting degree if it go useless it will put a question mark on their future.
Lack of professors
Higher education sources said pass percentage of engineering colleges has dropped when comparing to last years and in 200 institutions 50% students failed in any one subject, anna university recently introduced new question pattern lot of colleges couldn’t able to adopt the new scheme which result in fall of pass percentage, also due to low salary many staffs had left the job which also affect this graph due to inadequate teaching staffs. In this situation if anna university declare the list it may affect the admission process hence colleges were requested the board not to announce the list, also higher education department of the state didn’t give permission for it.
