This article is about the most renowned university of Kerala. This university is a stable and easy platform for all the students of neighboring states other than state of Kerala. The university has been established in 1968 is one of the largest university in Kerala for offering courses in streams such as Arts, science, social science etc and also the precious one as while it was started there was only one higher education board in the state and it was next to it.
The main motto if university is being “nirmaya karmana sree”. The university has been partitioned from the University of Kerala in order to focus on other beneficial and additional departments. Tenhipalam, which is 28 km from Calicut district, is the university campus. About 28 PG courses are focused in the campus, apart from that vice chancellor’s office, administration block, Pareeksha bhavan, CDE for giving distance education to students who are not able to come college daily, computer science center, library, etc. Wide ranges of courses are offered to be focused inside the campus and its details are found below.
Colleges and affiliation:
There are 426 colleges working under Calicut University, it have colleges in about 5 districts in the state and all these colleges follows all rules and regulations represented by the board. Courses offered in each institutions varies as per the available departments, laboratories, institutions in the college. In order to introduce a course for students college should have proper infrastructure, staffs and laboratories for that.
In order to offer courses for students more efficiently it extended the wings in three regions at Thrissur, Calicut and Vatakara. Other than this it also formed information centers in various districts which are having affiliated colleges of this board.

Time table for the academic year 2018:
Pareeksha bhavan is place where the semester exams are commencing at. Every year the university will announce the date sheets for the academic year according to the department or courses respectively.
Time table will be announced only few weeks before the starting of exams as before that they need to concentrate on various process such as admitting students into the courses, registering the names of students who are eligible to take semester exam, collecting exam fees and so on, after the release of Calicut university time table board will issue the hall ticket
