Both posts requires only basic educational skills, pass in 10th standard is enough for to apply
Things needed to complete online application
- An active email id and mobile number
- 10th percentage details and the year of passing
- A softcopy of your photo and signature in sizes not more than 50kb and 20kb respectively, In the official notification they didn’t notified the image sizes however you can use 3.5cm * 4.5 cm for photo and 3.5cm*1.5cm for signature.
- A PC with good internet connection and having latest version of any popular browser installed.
- Department has allocated four regions to take the exams which are Coimbatore, Chennai, trichy and Madurai.

How to apply for postman vacancy?
Step 1:
- Go to dopchennai.in and click “apply” link is available in the menu
- Now you will see the application link and notification file for the Postman (142 vacancies) and Mail Guard (1 vacancy) posts.
- Click the one you wish to register and you will get the dopchennai 2015 application form, fill it carefully all the required details.
- Then upload the documents and click the submit
- In the next page you will get registration number details and a link to generate Epayment challan to pay the fees through post office. Save the file and take a print out of it.
Step 2:
- After paying the fees login to official website and choose login and enter into the site by providing registration number and the date of birth.
- Enter the paid fees details you need to enter following fields – Registration No, PM EXAM RECEIPT NO, Date of Payment , Name of the post office where paid , Amount Paid
- Upload scanned copy of receipt issued by post office and download the submitted the online registration form for your reference
